TASTING PROTOCAL & PROCEDURES Our goal is to give you the client the very best limousine wine tour experience possible. The key to a great tasting experience is having the customer, the chauffeur, and MOST importantly the tasting staff on the same page. This brief narrative explains how you can help make your tasting experience, the best that it can be.
#1) Show up on time for appointments. - Limousine Club will make the winery appointments for you after discussing an itinerary over the phone. Having an appointment makes for a happy winery staff that will reserve room for your guests. Although we understand deviations do occur, we hope you will team with the chauffeur to make every effort to keep your schedule on time.
#2) Remember it’s a tasting room and not a bar. - Wine tasting rooms are set up so you can taste wine before you purchase it. The goal is to sip and then share tasting feedback with friends…. Not carry things to excess. The tasting room ambiance is designed to be an atmosphere that encourages the tasting experience to be shared. There is no loud music and there should be no loud voices. Your chauffeur will be your advocate in regards to maintaining protocol and help assure the best day possible for everyone.
#3) Listen and Learn… It’s all about the wine. – The tasting staff will be glad to have you in their establishment if they feel you are respecting the tasting process. R E S P E C T means listening to the information being shared with you. The valuable information you will learn about wine is one of the big benefits a day of tasting has to offer, and should increase your future enjoyment as well
#4) Have several people in your party buy something at each stop – We are very fortunate to have many fine wineries in such close proximity that pour without an upfront fee (although there are also some that do charge an upfront fee). The wineries open bottles for you to allow you to decide what you like before you purchase. If they are willing to pour free tastings please have someone in the party purchase something.
Limousine Club will do everything in our power to help facilitate an awesome tasting experience. If everyone does his or her part it will end up an enjoyable respect experience for everyone involved… You the client, the tasting room staff, and your chauffeur.
